How it works
Who prescribes, who dispenses, and what Centre Rx does in between
A licensed prescriber examines the patient in person, then writes and signs a patient-specific prescription in the Centre Rx portal.
Centre Rx records the signed prescription and transmits it electronically to our pharmacy partner through a direct system integration.
Our pharmacy partner compounds the preparation, dispenses it against the prescription and ships it to the prescriber's clinic or to the patient, as the prescriber directs.
Who does what
Every clinical decision is the prescriber's: whether to treat, what to prescribe, the dose and the directions. Centre Rx employs no prescribers and provides no telemedicine.
Our pharmacy partner compounds and dispenses every medication under its own licence and ships it. Centre Rx holds no drugs.
Centre Rx provides the ordering technology, records the prescription, transmits it to the pharmacy and collects the card payment. It sells nothing to patients.
Who can use it
Access is limited to licensed prescribers. A physician registers with their NPI number and state licences, Centre Rx staff verify both, and the account is approved before any order can be placed. Every state licence on a prescriber's account is verified by Centre Rx before orders in that state are accepted.
